Principal's Message
"A true leader is the one who abandons cultural egos, transcends self-interest, conspires to achieve harmony amidst anarchy, bases decisions on action research and coaches others on the path of effectiveness, then greatness. They must strive to lubricate work engines with their passion, devotion, sagacity and depth, as well as recruit their team’s trust, invest in their potential and unleash them to their fullest stature, while simultaneously steering justly and consistently, possessing the ability to interfere precisely and economically, managing to inspire and not to micromanage. A true leader finds the right method to realign peoples’ poles, to their true North.”.
As the Principal at KHAS, my goal is to equip every child with the most suitable foundation, to realize their true potential and set transformational models of leadership, as part of my moral obligation towards my teachers’ growth, as it is my belief that, “the learned are the heirs of the prophets” - Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi.
I aspire to model the genuine Muslim leader who is transparent, deeply rooted in their values and are well versed in the global educational landscape, marked with academic agility, accountability, answerability, integrity and humility.
In order to achieve this goal, I have amassed an illustrious career, as an International Educational Specialist, spanning over 20 years of experiences, within in the U.A.E, where I had previously accepted such roles as being a Curriculum Advisor, Quality Assurance Professional, Author, Editor of professional learning and development resources, Certified Trainer and an Evaluation Specialist, in education quality standards and school performance.
Prior to my tenure as Principal of KHAS, I undertook such roles as being the Director of Learning and Performance Review at GEMS Education for three years, as well as being the Vice Principal in Sharjah, Chair of Quality Assurance at Dubai National School and English Head of Department, on KHDA inspection and NEASC’s accreditation frameworks.
Moreover, my educational accolades include a Bachelor’s degree, majoring in English Language and Literature, prior to successfully completing a Masters of Business Administration and Management. Not limiting myself to my primary passion which is teaching secondary, having taught TOEFL IBT and English Literature for high school, I have extended my expertise, into fields such as talent acquisition and management, strategic human resources, operation excellence, entrepreneurship and training, as well as corporate culture alignment, as I have developed the ability to provide sound leadership advice on educational services and contributed to policy making, impacting the entire school, together with strategic planning and proposing improvements as well as conducting school reforms, including academic and pastoral indicators.
As a member of the Local Governing Body at KHAS, I pledge to assume my role and responsibilities in the best advantage of my school, inspired by BEAM’s Vison, Mission and its direction. I too take full accountability before the Chair, Vice Chair and Governors, for the school’s improvement and prosperity during my term of service with serenity, ownership, and openness.
